Professor Antoine MAGNAN — Head of the Pulmonology Department at Foch Hospital (Suresnes, France) since September 2020. His goal is to strengthen and further develop the department’s activities, particularly in the field of lung transplantation, where the institution is already recognized as one of the leaders, as well as to introduce innovations in the treatment of lung diseases.
Education and career:
- Studied medicine in Paris, at the Paris-Sud Faculty of Medicine (Bicêtre)
- Internship starting in 1987 in Marseille, where he spent a significant part of his career
- Appointed Professor of Pulmonology in 2001
- Worked at the Thoracic Institute in Nantes, where he headed the Pulmonology Department and conducted research within INSERM
- In 2015, elected Chairman of the Medical Commission of the University Hospital of Nantes
