Professor Alexandre HERTIG — Head of the Department of Nephrology, Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation at Foch Hospital (Suresnes, France) since January 2021, as well as Vice-President of the hospital’s Medical Board. Since November 2022, he has also been acting as Head of the Nephrology Department at Poissy Hospital.
Previously — Professor of Nephrology at Sorbonne University (2011–2020), he worked in the Nephrology Intensive Care Unit at Tenon Hospital, and later in the Kidney Transplantation Department at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital. From 2008 to 2010, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA).
An internationally recognized specialist in kidney transplantation, acute kidney injury, and pregnancy-related kidney diseases. He is affiliated with Paris-Saclay University and INSERM (UMRS_1138). He is an elected board member of the French Society of Nephrology and a member of the Scientific Committee of the French Society of Transplantation.
