Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantation

The Department of Thoracic Surgery is a referral center for the treatment of bronchopulmonary tumors, offering an accelerated care program following diagnosis.

Thanks to the SOS Lung Diagnosis program, the department provides general practitioners and specialists across the Île-de-France region and nationwide with rapid referral access for patients suspected of having lung cancer.

In addition to traditional surgery, the team uses minimally invasive techniques, including video-assisted and robotic surgery.

Approximately 70 lung transplants are performed annually, confirming Foch Hospital’s leading role in this field in France.

Head of Department: Professor Edouard SAGE.
